Hello everyone! It is finally time to save the date for Swing State 2019! This year’s workshop will feature Evita Arce, Michael Jagger, and the Boilermaker Jazz Band!
DETAILS
Swing State 2019 will take place the weekend of October 11th-13th. Saturday and Sunday Lessons will be taught by Michael and Evita. This event will just be a Lindy workshop. It is recommended to know the basics of Lindy Hop and swing outs. There will be two days of instructions and two evenings of social dancing.
PRICING AND REGISTRATION
Penn State students have free admittance to these workshop lessons. For non-Penn State students, lessons will be $25 taken at the door. The night dances are free regardless of your university affiliation. While payment is taken at the door, we ask that you register ahead of time. As the event draws closer we will post a link at the bottom to resister with.
SCHEDULE
Friday: 10 pm- 1 am in 302 HUB
Saturday: Lessons: 10 am – 5:15 pm in 302 HUB
-There will be a break in between lessons and a competition after the second lesson in 302 HUB.
Dance: 10 pm- 1 am in 302 HUB
Sunday: Lesson 12 pm – 7:15 pm in 126 White Building
-There will be a break in between lessons.
Our evening dances will include music performed by the Boilermakers Jazz Band!
